Most of men love transportation measures such like railway, boat and air planes like small boys even though they became to belong to elder categories. I, Omdoyok, is also one of them.
I introduce land transportation measure in Jakarta from railway to becak (tricycle).

This type of three wheeler was originated from Piaggio Italy and produced by Bajaj Auto company in India.
The Bajaj was started to be introduced to Jakarta instead of clearing off becak in Kebayoran Baru in 1980th.
This model is equipped 2-cycle Vespa engine of 90cc, I heard. Then we have been suffered with smell and white smoke in its exhaust gas from gasoline and lubricant.
The Metropolitan Government banned to operate type of bajaj in 2015.

6. Ojek (Motor cycle taxi/truck)

Ojek transporting agricultural products at Air Naningan Village Lampung on July 31, 2002
There are still many isolated villages in Sumatra where four wheel vehicles cannot reach due to lack of wide roads and bridges. These villagers like to use motor cycles for both passenger and cargo transportation.
These bikers load 200kgs of cargoe on the back and drive like this dirt roads to town.

You may find many ojeks at road crossing in villages. They wait for passengers who does not want to walk even though 500m!

7. Horse carriage (Dokar = Delman = Bendi)
Delman is a horse carriage called in Jakarta. This is named after a Dutch inventor Charles Teodore Deeleman. This name is applied to both wagon and chariot.
Dokar is a name of chariot in Java for carrying passengers. This name was derived from "dogcart" what was used light-weight wagon for hunting.
Andong is a name of wagon with 4 wheels in Java. This type is called as "ebro" in Jakarta which is an abbrebiations of "Eerste Bataviasche Rijtuig Ondermeming" (Batavian First Cart Manufacturer)
Bendi is a name of chariot in West Sumatra.
