Episode 47　Sedudo Waterfall, Petilasan and Candi Ngetos　)

I visited Sedudo waterfall at northern slope of Gunung Wilis that my friend, Mr. Yu Hok told me on January 27, 2008 on Sunday.
The water fall is located about 26km south-west from Ngawi Town. Height of the waterfall is 105m, according to a website. This waterfall is well known as a spot for meditation and obtaining mysterious super power. Unfortunately, the day was Sunday and the place was very crowded with sightseeners such like Disneylad!!.

If you are reaching to Nganjuk town from west bound, such as Madiun or Ngawi, you must turn right at the corner at coordinate of S734.950 E111 52.588. Then you turn right at a traffic light of 300 m far from the point toward south. There is a road crossing at 5.2km from the traffic light where you can see signboard of "Turn Left to Kediri, Straight to Sedudo". Of course you must go straight. This crossing is at S7 37.931 E111 52.458. You follow indications "To Sedudo". You may reach the waterfall after driving in 24.7 km from the crossing.

Mr. Yu Hok advised me to visit another mysterious site along the return way to Nganjuk. The site is a famous place for worship to obtain supernatural power in front of a grave of Nyai Agung Ngliman.. The site is at S7 45.961 E111 45.773 at EL. 934 m. Distance between the place and main road is less than 100 m and the difference of height is less than 20 m. The site is located on a hill on which slope was cut flat in many stages just like a pyramid. There many bending trees beside the access stairs. This place is good for shooting horror movies.

This is a script of my younger friend Mr. RD who visited these place with me in Indonesian language. Suatu hari saya pergi untuk berziarah kesebuah petilasan yang terletak dikota nganjuk. Saya waktu itu pergi bersama Om Doyok , Bapak Yuhog, dan Bapak Ali. Sewaktu saya selesai berziarah kemakam Eyang Liman dipintu masuknya terdapat pohon tua yang sangat besar, entah kenapa tiba-tiba Om Doyok memanggil saya untuk memegang pohon tua tersebut, setelah saya memegang pohon tersebut terdapat perasaan yang aneh seperti tidak bersahabat dengan pohon tua tersebut, tenyata didalam pohon itu percaya tidak percaya terdapat penunggu berupa jin. Om Doyok tau bahwa ternyata pada waktu kehidupan saya yang amat sangat lampau ternyata saya pernah bertemu dengan jin yang menunggu pohon besar dan tua itu. Dan ternyata pada kehidupan saya pada masa dahulu kala saya telah membunuh jin penunggu pohon tersebut sewaktu dia masih hidup atau sebagai manusia bukan sebagai jin.Dan pada masa kini saya tidak tau klau saya ada keterkaitan dengan jin itu pada masa lalau saya. Setelah saya mengetahui hal itu Om Doyok menyuruh saya untuk mendoakan dan meminta maaf kepada jin yang menunggu didalam pohon tua itu. Dan anehnya setelah saya meminta maaf, saya merasakan ada hawa yang lain setelah jin itu memaafkan saya, hawa yang sejuk, nyaman dan menentramkan hati. Dengan adanya kejadian ini saya merasa dan lebih tau pasti bahwa kehidupan kita dimasa-masa lampau dulu sampai sekarang masih ada keterkaitan antara satu dengan yang lain.<BR>Kisah ini saya ceritakan dengan apa adanya, tanpa rekayasa apapun, dan nyata. (In English) On a day (January 27, 2008), I visited peitlasan (place for worship) at Nganjuk town in East Java with Om Doyok, Mr. Juhok and Mr. Ali. On my way back from worship at the grave of Eyang Liman, Om Doyok asked me to touch a large old tree at the entrance of the graveyard. Suddenly I felt something strange from the tree that the tree refused me to contact. You may not believe, but I recognized a spirit in the tree. Om Doyok knew that I have met a person whose soul stayed at the tree during my past life long long time ago. While the spirit stayed in a human body, I have killed him in the past life in the past life in this world. I realized that such connection with the spirit past life influences my present life. After I came to know about the case, Om Doyok aked me for apologizing to the spirit in the old tree about the murder case with worship. After my apologizing, the spirit also replied apologizing to me. At the moment, I felt a cool and fresh spirit and tranquil in my heart. From this experience, I understood that fact made in our last lives have still influenced our present life. I stress that the above story is not a fiction and is the record of my experiences on the day. We moved to next site of Candi Ngetos at about 20 km north from the shrine. You may turn right (toward east) at the cordinate S7 40.385 E111 50.597 16.7km from the shrine. The crossing is positioned just on the river bank. Candi Ngetos locates at 3.1km from the turning point. Candi Netos is a typical Majapahit style.

080127-13s　Kala at South Face	The sign board says that, This site is located Ngetos village, Ngetos District and about 17 km from Nganjuk Town. King Hayam Wruk gave instruction to his uncles to construct this Candi during Majapahit era in 15th century The Candi might be built for keeping ash of King Hayam Wruk or for buring his remainder, since the King was eager to take enternal rest here. This area belonged to Majapahit Kingdom at that time and faces Gunung Wilis that the people at Majapahit era believed as a holly mountain "Gunung Mahameru". Cordinate is S7 41.623 E111 50.544. If you are interested in remainders of Majapahit, visit Trowulan Museum at Mojokerto City.

080127-16s　East Face	Accoring to a keeper of this candi, they have found many remainders around this candi which have not been investigated. Because this area has been utilzed housing area of this village.
