My Life in Jakarta 1976-1978

This is photographic records while I was working in Jakarta on1976 - 1978. This was the first overseas assignment for me.
Within these decades many friends passed away.

When he brought me the police office to get a certificate for stay permit, he advised me:
"Mr. Taniguchi, you must not tell them to have stolen anything. ..........., but not 'a heart'".
Then I replied him "How about lips?" "No problem!" Only these words created our friendship.

Kuda Lumping = Horse knitted bamboo. Originated from Ponorogo, East Java
 
There are many peculiar dance in Ponorogo. This place may be only one where ancient customs still remain.
 
Most of women did not use jilbab at that time.
