| Episode 39 Steam Locos at Madiun |
| East Java Provice in Indonesia has been
famous about sugar industry since Dutch Occupation.
There are many sugar mills in Java island
and these are concentrated in East Java.
One of the center of sugar industry is in
Madium, most western part of the Province. Still now we can see broad sugar plantation in this province. They use locomotives to transport the sugar canes from the field to the mills. Now they changed many steam locomotives with diesel locos. This page shows various steam locomotives exhibited in and outskirt of Madiun city as shown on a map below. |

| On my way back to Madiun I found a hot spring at S7 38'45" E111 31'04". You can enjoy this hot spring with charge. There is another hot spring in Madiun, The hot water comes out from old bolling holes. |
